IT PMO Trainer

We require a trainer and backup PMO analyst to learn the governance functions of the IT project management office and ensure that the IT teams are well informed and capable of delivering compliant business cases and projects to the CIO and Group Finance.

Key Tasks:

• Alongside the PMO manager, the trainer will identify areas of required learning and development, design and deliver training and drive improvements to compliance via your own audits, monitoring and reporting. Areas of required learning will include: the project method, status reporting, tools, project finances, business cases, design documentation and traceability.

• In addition to training, the Trainer / Analyst will be expected to chair meetings such as gate reviews, project status reviews and investment committees when the PMO manager is not available.

• Other PMO tasks may be required, all with the aim of improving compliance to the well-established processes. For example, monitoring project outputs against plans, reviewing project documents, monitoring project finances, and reporting on compliance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience of designing (TNA/LNA) and delivering learning and training, primarily instructor-led but including remote learning / use of learning management systems
• Good knowledge of project management process, including agile
• Knowledge of governance, compliance and audit in an IT and finance environment 
• Better than average knowledge and skills in IT tools, particularly for data management, work structure, documentation and version control of all types (stand-alone documents, collaborative documents, Wiki or tools like JIRA), presentation software 
• Excellent communicator at all levels: IT developers, business analysts, product owners, portfolio owners, governance and quality managers, and IT leadership 
• Able to run meetings and be accountable for following up actions
• Able to own and manage a process
• Mindset for structure and attention to detail
• Skilled at documentation and structuring data
