Rentokil Initial Interview Process
Phone screening
The phone screening is your opportunity to speak to a recruiter about your experiences and suitability for the role.
We suggest that you prepare by reviewing the job description, research the company and think about any questions you would like to discuss.
First Stage Interview
If successful in the phone screening, you will be invited to an interview with the hiring manager.
Our interviews consist of competency-based questions, so make sure you provide real-life examples as the basis of your answer.
Role Specific Task
Depending on the role you’ve applied for, you may be asked to complete a role specific task.
This can range from role plays for our sales and call centre roles, to creative tasks for our marketing roles.
Final Stage
For our field-based roles, you will get the chance to experience a typical day in the life by shadowing a colleague.
This is then followed by a second interview with the manager to ensure the role is right for you.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the timescale of the application process?
After submitting an application, an acknowledgement email will be sent within five working days. If you meet the requirements for the role, one of our recruiters will be in contact within two weeks.
Is there flexibility on location?
We aim to be as flexible as possible, and as we have numerous businesses across the UK it is likely we can accommodate you at one of our locations.
Do I need a driver's licence?
For the majority of our frontline roles you would need a full valid UK driving licence with no more than six points. We do have administration roles and office based roles that do not require a full UK licence.
What pre-employment checks do you do?
If you’re successful, we will need to see your right to work in the UK documents, as well as running some basic background checks specific to the role. For example, some roles may call for a criminal record check and the majority of our roles require us to check your driving licence. Sometimes we need to carry out a more in-depth level of screening. If that’s the case, we’ll let you know at the offer stage.
