The Group Network Technical Specialist - Networks is primarily responsible for designing and implementing Network services globally.
Main Purpose of role:
The role will be to design and implement network services for Rentokil Initial within their Global estate. The role will define and develop standard designs with a Global focus.
This role will act as an operational point of escalation globally and ensure appropriate continued service continuity for services under their remit.
Tasks
● Define standard designs and configure network solutions that meet or exceed business requirements.
● Document new network solutions in a manner that helps other support teams.
● Analyse existing industry network technology trends and propose updated technology solutions based on business alignment.
● Drive the development, validation, and delivery of automation into the network space.
● Support operational teams during the implementation of new processes and policies, offering direction and guidance when needed
● Manage, report, and communicate on the global performance metrics of the network, reviewing areas for improvement.
● Involvement in project planning, resource allocation and forecasting of work, escalation point for resolution of conflicts.
● Maintain relationships with third parties and business areas to ensure current and future business needs are incorporated into network strategy.
● Identify and resolve complex escalated network problems following internal procedures and processes.
Requirements:
Required
Has good understanding of technologies used within the organisation:
● Enterprise deployment of networks including switching, routing wireless and firewalls including the design, implementation and troubleshooting of:
o Cisco catalyst switch and HP Aruba switch environments
o Cloud-based wireless solutions such as Extreme Aerohive and HP Aruba Central
o Cisco ASA and NSX-T distributed and Tier1 firewalls
o Velocloud SD-WAN
▪ Enterprise deployments consisting of ISP technologies
▪ Enterprise migrations from legacy WAN technologies to Velocloud SD-WAN
▪ VOIP implementations using Velocloud SD-WAN
o Pulse secure traffic managers
● Knowledge of GCP and BGP routing
● Demonstrated capability with TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS and DHCP
● Experience troubleshooting, implementing and configuring mixed VPN/DIA WAN environments
● Network protocol analysis and troubleshooting using various tools (e.g. Wireshark) and equipment for root cause analysis
● Experience with technical crisis management
● At least five years of experience supporting a global network environment

Network experience in enterprise deployments in the following;
● Google Apps Suite
● GCP/GCVE
● VMWare
● Active Directory
