About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and expert Senior IT Business Analyst to join our team. This is a critical role that requires a blend of deep subject matter expertise, strong leadership, and exceptional communication skills. The successful candidate will act as a pivotal liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving the successful development and implementation of complex IT solutions. You will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of our clients and projects, fostering innovation, and mentoring junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expert Liaison & Requirements Management: Through self-directed activities, act as the primary liaison between clients and technical groups. Utilise superior communication, elicitation, documentation, analysis, and validation skills to manage complex business requirements from inception to delivery.
- Strategic Solution Development: Apply advanced industry-specific expertise to recommend, coordinate, and lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of a client's business systems, processes, and products. This includes leveraging high-maturity methods, processes, and tools.
- Innovation & Influence: Combine deep industry knowledge with a thorough understanding of IT to develop innovative business solutions. Influence the strategic direction of clients and lead analysis teams on large-scale projects.
- Leadership & Governance: Lead requirements management and change management processes for complex initiatives. Direct the development of visualisation and user experience (UX) elements within solution design.
- Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain robust internal and external relationships to effectively manage project scope, schedule, budgets, and expectations.
- Business Analysis & Opportunity Identification: Lead complex business studies and present compelling results to senior management. Coordinate and participate in proposals, feasibility studies, and new business development activities. Leverage industry knowledge and client relationships to assess the business implications of technology application, identifying new business opportunities.
- Process Improvement & Mentorship: Promote and direct continuous process improvement activities. Provide mentoring, guidance, and training to peers and clients, acting as an expert in establishing and refining policies.
- Independent Judgement: Exercise significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine the best methods for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
Requirements:
- 5 years + experience as a Business Analyst for a large, complex company
- Staff management and/or staff mentoring experience
