The Global Hosting Operations Manager will have a crucial role in ensuring smooth infrastructure operations across EMEA, Asia, and the Pacific regions.
Requirements:
This exciting position involves handling all infrastructure operational activities within the EMEA and Asia Pacific region. The responsibilities include:
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of managing and maintaining the critical technologies that power our hosting platforms.
- Drive the seamless delivery of applications to our valued customers, ensuring a smooth and efficient user experience.
- Lead the end-to-end infrastructure management across our Data Centres and Branches.
- Play a pivotal role in the global development of a safe and stable platform that supports Rentokil Initial's business services.
- Coordinate and oversee a diverse team of technical experts spanning multiple continents.
- Allocate routine tasks and project work efficiently.
- Provide direction, support, and guidance to team members, leveraging their skills and abilities effectively.
- Monitor progress against agreed quality and performance standards.
- Foster effective working relationships among team members to enhance collaboration and productivity.
- Manage incident reporting and resolution using the Service Now tool.
- Ensure smooth transition of services into operational support, meeting all objectives and requirements.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of maintenance and installation projects.
- Collaborate on the successful implementation of IT General controls activities.
What we are looking for...
- Has a good understanding of Infrastructure technologies used within the organisation.
- Strong leadership experience, managing technical resources across multiple disciplines and different geographic locations
Excellent knowledge of all of the following products/solutions to some capacity:
- Hypervisor - VMware vSphere
- Storage - vSAN
- Platforms - Windows Server or Linux Red Hat
- End User Compute - Citrix XenApp
- Recovery Services - Veeam, Zerto
- Networking Fundamentals - Cisco Technologies (Switches,
- Firewalls or Routers), SD-WAN or MPLS
Ideally it would be great for you to have the following, but not essential:
- ITIL ® Foundation in IT Service Management
- Any other relevant technical certification in line with the role.
