Reports to: Automation Support Team Leader

Nature and purpose:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Automation Support Analyst to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Speed Applications and supporting our RPA platform. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including the Automation Team, IT, and business stakeholders, to deliver exceptional support, optimise automation performance, and contribute to the overall success of our organisation.

Key responsibilities;

  • Investigate and resolve issues: Take ownership of technical problems that arise within Rentokil-Initial applications and processes, conducting thorough investigations to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Monitor support system: Actively monitor the ServiceNow support call logging system, ensuring that all incoming requests are promptly addressed and resolved within established service level agreements.
  • Ensure platform functionality: Continuously monitor the RPA platform to guarantee seamless process execution, proactively identifying and rectifying any issues that may impede operational efficiency.
  • Conduct platform maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks on the RPA platform to sustain optimal performance, including updates, configuration adjustments, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide MI support: Generate and deliver Management Information (MI) reports to provide insights into automation performance, support metrics, and other relevant data for informed decision-making.
  • Assist with application administration: Contribute to the administration of business applications, particularly Onguard, ensuring that data is up to date and rules are implemented successfully.
  • Take ownership of support issues: Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership by taking charge of support issues, seeing them through to resolution, and providing timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Interpret customer requirements: Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and requirements, offering support and guidance on potential solutions that leverage automation capabilities.
  • Escalate complex issues: Work effectively within the team to escalate complex technical issues that require specialised expertise or cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements:

Knowledge and Experience;

  • Technical proficiency: Possess knowledge of HTML, SQL, Google Apps Script, BigQuery, Android, Excel, or Automation Techniques, demonstrating a solid foundation in relevant technologies.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: Exhibit strong analytical abilities and a structured approach to problem-solving, enabling effective troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Attention to detail: Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work, ensuring high-quality outcomes and minimising errors.
  • Communication skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, facilitating clear and concise interactions with team members, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills: Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, building positive working relationships and contributing to a cohesive team dynamic.
  • Willingness to learn: Exhibit a strong desire to learn and adapt to new software and technologies, staying abreast of industry advancements and continuously expanding technical expertise.
