We are currently seeking a Construction and Commercial Legal Counsel to join our dedicated team. If you are a qualified lawyer in England & Wales with at least 3- 5 years of PQE, and have expertise in the corporate and commercial area, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

The Role
As a Legal Counsel, you will be covering corporate commercial work within our UK business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting reviews and negotiations along with drafting commercial terms, contracts and legal agreements
- Carrying out data privacy document reviews
- Handling your own caseload of matters
- Supporting the business in commercial negotiations with end clients
- Delivering training programmes to the business on legal and contractual risks
- Managing commercial disputes and resolutions
- Managing pre-litigation and small claims
- Drafting letters before action/ settlement agreements
- Updating precedents and templates and looking at ways of improving processes
- Occasionally working with the regional general counsel or external counsel on any arising issues
Requirements:
- Fully qualified lawyer in England & Wales with 3- 5 years PQE
- Previous experience working in an in-house role
- Some experience in industry form of contracts including NEC, JCT, FIDIC & SBCC would be beneficial
- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to think strategically and creatively to identify and resolve legal issues
- Able to work well in a team and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
