This is a functional role within the IT Supply Chain team for the business region of Europe providing subject specialism, project management and work prioritisation of the Epicor system.
The Epicor system is used across both Dudley Industries (UK) and Rentokil Initial Services (Europe) and is a third party application.
Main Purpose:
● Prepare technical and functional specifications for change requests to Epicor.
● Assist Epicor Product Manager to manage multiple projects of varying complexities from Business Case to full deployment of new or upgraded versions of Epicor into the selected business units.
● Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project
● Prepares realistic plans and tracks activities against the project schedule providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as appropriate.
● Assist Epicor Product Manager to monitor costs, timescales and resources and takes action where these deviate from the agreed tolerances
● Ensures that own projects are formally closed and where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are recorded.
● Provides subject matter expertise for the Epicor system.
● Ensure SOX audit compliance.
Requirements:
- Has gained experience (typically five years) in a relevant business environment involved in the introduction and use of IT, including demonstrable success in managing multiple projects.
- Has worked with an ERP solution (ideally Epicor) in a Project Management &/or Specialist role.
- Has previous experience of working in a Supply Chain & Manufacturing role.
- Has proven previous experience of an ERP system in either a consultancy or project management role.
- Working knowledge of Supply Chain and Manufacturing business processes.
- Has proven project management (Waterfall and Agile) and leadership skills, and a good knowledge of business analysis. Knows own organisation’s policy framework, management structures and reporting procedures, and can see the “big picture”. Has strong planning, communication and presentation skills, is proficient in project quality management, and familiar with programme management.
- Is familiar with a range of analysis, modelling and design methods; has good current knowledge of IT standards, applications and trends. Is able to obtain information from business people in face to face situations, and to analyse information on users’ occupational tasks obtained by a variety of formal and informal means. Has an analytical and creative approach to problem solving. Has sound understanding of the costs of IT (project and “lifetime”) and the ability to cost operational IT services.
- Understands the principles of business and markets and has experience of relevant business sectors. Has proven project management and leadership skills, and a good knowledge of how to make and sustain a business case (the benefits that will be delivered and the investment cost). Displays good interpersonal skills at all levels of contact and in a wide variety of situations, demonstrating the ability to listen and influence.
- Probably educated to bachelor degree level or holds a relevant professional qualification.
